Your wedding day is about YOU! I want to give you the best possible pictures with the least intrusion on your special day. I will give direction when needed but I am aware that you want to spend time with your family and friends who have come from far and wide to celebrate this day with you. Wedding photography is a skill, honed by years of experience - other than the union, the only thing that will last for years to come will be the pictures taken on the day, so choose your photographer carefully! You can choose from coverage of the ceremony and some pictures afterwards, through to a picture diary of the whole day.
As a guideline it is best to leave about 2 hours between the end of the marriage ceremony and sitting down to the Wedding Breakfast which leaves time to take the group pictures, relax, have a drink and talk to friends. I would like about 30 minutes of this time exclusively with the bride and groom to get some posed pictures of the happy couple - I move on quickly from one pose to another and will use the light and surroundings to their full potential. After this I revert to a more reportage style of photography to capture as much of the goings on and atmosphere of the day, together with some detail shots which will be used in the design of the wedding album.
After the wedding I spend a considerable time working on the images before preparing them for an on-line slide show. I will send you a link for you (and friends and family) to view the images on your PC in the comfort of your home. Clients get a DVD of their images that includes the right to print any of the images; while I retain copyright on my work, the images are yours to use as you wish for your personal enjoyment.
The best way to see your wedding images is to ask me to design you a wedding album; I offer a selection of high quality albums/coffee table books to meet most budgets and also offer parent books to match the main album. If you order, and pay for, a wedding album before the wedding day then I offer a 20% discount and I am able to start the album design while you are still on honeymoon.
A complimentary engagement photo session is included when you book me for longer packages. This is a great way for us to get to know each other better and for you to become familiar with being in front of the camera. And, of course, you will have some lovely informal pictures taken of the two of you! For the shorter packages I will do an engagement shoot for £50 for the session. Come and discuss your requirements and the available options, all of which can be flexibly tailored to your needs.
Before you choose your wedding photographer look closely at the images he/she is showing you. Forget the price tag and the impressive graphics and music in the presentation. Do the pictures touch you? If not, continue looking - the images are the most important element. Good images only come about when a photographer can communicate with the couple so visit photographers who's work you like and see if you get on with them. I pride myself on superb photography with a friendly manner and fabulous finished products, all at an affordable price. Come and see!
